What do you get when you combine heavy live drums, a bass trio, psychedelic visuals, experimental vocals and visual signal processing? Usurper of Modern Medicine, that’s what.

The trio is made up of members from trendy Perth groups Injured Ninja, Mile End, Mongrel Country and Carbuncle. Their wall-of-sound is laden with hypnotic digital synchronised loops and live samples, adding up to one big aural trip.

They recently dropped their debut EP, Acid Chess, which includes almost an hour worth of four original compositions, plus four remixes from Perth-based artists.
